A slice of life RP group based on Animal Crossing, but instead of animals everyone is human. This is not a human trafficking group despite how the title may sound.Set on a small stranded island with a tiny civilisation (think Animal Crossing New Horizons). Modern setting but there's no wifi on this island because we want our island residents to touch grass.The main objective is to restore the island's museum through fishing, catching bugs and collecting artworks!
The group will end when the museum is complete*.
*or if activity dies before the museum is complete.

This group was made on a whim with very low effort. Join the group at your own discretion and don't expect a high standard. We just want to fish.

Rules
● - This is a 21+ group. You must be age 21 or older to join the group. No NSFW discussions or content in the server. Artistic nudity is allowed but these must be spoiler tagged. Sensitive or triggering content should be spoiler tagged. Please keep all of these types of content to a minimum. This is a slice of life/comedy group.● No inappropriate language. Keep use of profanity to a reasonable minimum. Any derogatory language towards any user is prohibited.● Respect each other. Harassment, hate speech and hateful conduct will not be tolerated. Keep personal drama out of the server. Avoid discussing political and religious topics in the server.● Art theft, tracing, and use of gen AI is not allowed. Give credit where its due.● Follow the channel-specific guidelines. Each channel has a description or pinned message on how to use them.● You must follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.● Follow general roleplay etiquette. No god-modding, metagaming, ship-chasing. Respect each other as everyone has different levels of experience with roleplaying. Always ask for consent!● Do not exclude people from conversations. This also applies to roleplays. Be considerate and give others the chance to jump in, and talk about turn orders if desired.● If you see something against the rules or something that makes you feel unsafe, let staff know. Setting
Set on an island somewhere in modern Earth, you have arrived here for reasons of your own whatever they may be.. including but not limited to start a new life, got lost, or arrived via false advertisement about a fancy getaway resort (though there would be tiny fine print that it's not all vacation....)Upon arrival to La Place Island you will be checked for dangerous and/or illegal goods as they do at airports. Once clear, you will be taken to the town hall, which then the housing agent, Myka, will take you to your brand new home: a tent. Inside this small, lovely tent there will be a fishing rod, bug net, sleeping bag and lamp. There seems to be a note too which reads:Our museum is empty. Help us fill it up and you will be rewarded handsomely.

How Stuff Works
You can catch fish and bugs and sell them at the retail store for the island's currency, known as bells. Your original currency is useless here.You can also donate any fish or bugs that are missing from the museum, as well as artworks. Please donate to the museum. Please.Artworks for the museum can be bought from the mysterious merchant who occasionally comes to the island whenever they feel like it. But be careful not to fall for scams..The retail store sells basic necessities such as food and furniture. Groceries can be HC'd as the mods don't want to think too much about it.
Housing Upgrades
You can upgrade your tent to proper housing once you earn enough bells. Your basic tent isn't quite weather-proof, so you would want to upgrade it when you can afford to do so.

Guidelines:
● Visual application should at least be a clean sketch of a full body with flat colours● Keep in mind that your character is HUMAN. They can have cute animal ears or whatever but note that they'd be fake.. like cosplay.● Hair and eyes can be any colour, but please avoid rainbow eyes and sharingans.● Your character's minimum age should be 18 and maximum age is 66.● Maximum height is 200 cm.● Your character cannot have weapons.● Characters can wear any attire (keep it PG13) but keep in mind that this is a modern setting. Characters in medieval armour may get strange looks from others, but if they're the type to dress like this then go ahead!● You do not have to draw your own app, but make sure you credit whoever draws it for you. Absolutely no tracing, stolen art and AI-generated images! If you are unsure about anything, check in with the mods!● Characters will be jobless on this island, so you won't need to think about this.● If you have any other questions please ask in Discord!
